FAQs

What makes a folding rocker different from a regular camping chair? The frame. A standard folding chair has a rigid base that locks flat. A rocker uses a spring-action or curved rail system that allows the chair to move back and forth without the legs digging into the ground or the frame loosening over time. The Freestyle Rocker and Pod Rocker lines are engineered to rock on grass, gravel, and concrete, not just a smooth patio. That is a different structural problem, and it is why the chairs feel different the first time you sit down.

What is the weight capacity? It varies by model. The Freestyle Rocker XL and some Pod Rocker models are rated up to 400 pounds. Standard Freestyle Rockers are typically rated around 250 pounds. Check the product page for the exact rating of the model you are considering. The warranty and safe use guidelines apply to use at or below that stated capacity.

Will a rocker fit in my car trunk? Folded dimensions are listed on every product page. Most standard rockers fold flat enough for a sedan trunk, but the XL models take up more space. If you drive a compact car or have a trunk full of other gear, measure the space you have and compare it to the folded dimensions before ordering. If the numbers are close, contact support and describe your vehicle; the answer will be more specific than a generic “yes.”

How long does assembly take? Most chairs and tables arrive fully assembled or require only the attachment of a side table or armrest. The folding mechanisms are designed to open and lock in seconds. Setup is not the bottleneck. Folding it back down and getting it into the carry bag is the part that takes a few tries the first time.

Can I use a rocker on a boat or a slope? The rocking mechanism works on uneven ground and gentle slopes, but it is not a locked, fixed-position chair. On a steep incline or a moving boat deck, a standard fixed-frame chair is the safer choice. The original hillside-adjustable design that started the company is a different product line; if level seating on a slope is the priority, look for the terrain-adjustable models rather than the rockers.

How does the warranty work if I bought from a retailer? Claims within 90 days of purchase should go through the retailer first. After that window, the three-year limited warranty applies directly, and the claim process starts through the contact page. A receipt or the PO# tag from the product is required. Replacement parts are available for a limited selection of components; most parts are not sold separately due to safety and proprietary design considerations.

What happens if my chair breaks after two years? That falls within the three-year warranty window. Submit a claim with proof of purchase and photos. A replacement product shipping fee of $20 may apply for replacements issued 2–3 years after purchase; the fee is waived within the first year. The replacement remains covered under the original three-year term.

What is the difference between a return and a warranty claim? A return applies to an unused item within 30 days of purchase, in original packaging. A warranty claim applies to a manufacturing defect that shows up after use, within the three-year coverage period. Returns go through the return process; warranty claims go through the warranty process. Both start through the contact page, but they are not the same path.

How do I reach support? Use the contact method listed on the contact page. Include the order number if the question relates to an existing order. Messages are typically answered within one to two business days.
